A Former NHL player for the California Golden Seals and St. Louis Blues and a U.S. National team member in the 1976 Canada Cup and 1977 Ice Hockey World Championships, Mr. Williams has spent his post-playing days coaching countless teams from mites through high school and semi-pro.
A Duluth native and a life-long supporter of Northland hockey, Butch was the driving force behind bringing the Clydesdales to this community with such deep roots in the sport. A Minnesota hockey historian, he has many items from his personal collection displayed at the Heritage Center, the Clydesdales home rink. |
