The Clydesdales are looking for billet families for the upcoming 2010-2011 season. Host families may be single, couples or families with children of their own. Players arrive at the beginning of September for hockey. Some will return home in March when the season is over, but in many cases players will remain in the Duluth area to complete the school year.
Billet families provide room and board for players, meaning a private room or a room shared with another player, but not a room shared with a family member. We suggest that billets expect players to help with household chores and include them in other family activities where applicable. Players will need access to healthy food and meals, as well as meals he can prepare himself. Players may often eat with teammates or friends, but we would like players to have the choice of “coming home” for meals.
Clydesdales staff will help enforce team curfews and any unacceptable behavior by the player will NOT be tolerated and result in suspension or termination from team. Billet families and players will have unlimited access to the Billet Coordinator to propose ideas and discuss concerns. Our goal is for everyone to have a happy, successful season together with many team activities for all to enjoy.
